Cancellation and Refund Policy

The Listening Field is operated by Lucia Guerin in County Limerick, Ireland.

I understand that plans and circumstances can change. This policy explains what happens if you need to cancel a booking or if The Listening Field has to cancel or change an offering.

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Irish or EU consumer law.

How to cancel

Please contact me in writing at lucia@listeningfield.ie. Include your name, the email address used when booking and the name and date of the event, course or session.

A cancellation takes effect when your written request is received.

Your statutory cancellation rights

When you purchase certain services or digital content online, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of entering the contract without giving a reason.

If you expressly request that a service begins during this 14-day period and then cancel, you may be charged a reasonable amount for the portion already provided.

When purchasing digital content or an on-demand course with immediate access, you may be asked to consent to delivery beginning during the cancellation period and to acknowledge that your right to cancel may be affected once access or delivery begins.

Irish consumer law provides exemptions for some services connected with leisure activities, accommodation or catering that are booked for a particular date or period. This may include scheduled workshops, retreats and other fixed-date events.

The terms below apply in addition to your statutory rights and do not replace them.

Live events, workshops and live online courses

For live events, workshops and course series taking place on specified dates:

• If you cancel more than 14 days before the event or course begins, you may receive a full refund or transfer your payment to another available event.

• If you cancel between 7 and 14 days before it begins, you may receive a 50% refund or transfer your place to another person.

• If you cancel less than 7 days before it begins, no refund will normally be available. You may transfer your place to another person if you let me know in advance.

• Once a course or series has begun, refunds are not normally available.

Where a recording is included with an online event or course, it will be made available as described on the booking page. Receiving a recording does not create an additional right to a refund.

If exceptional circumstances arise, please contact me. Where possible, I will consider whether a transfer or credit can reasonably be offered.

Practitioner training and residential retreats

Practitioner training and residential retreats involve larger financial commitments, advance venue costs and, in some cases, accommodation or catering arrangements.

Separate cancellation and payment terms therefore apply to these offerings. These terms will be made available before booking and will form part of your booking agreement.

If no separate terms have been provided, the relevant terms in this policy and your statutory consumer rights will apply.

One-to-one appointments

You may cancel or reschedule a one-to-one appointment without charge by giving at least 48 hours’ notice.

Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged in full. Missed appointments without notice will normally be charged in full.

I understand that emergencies and unexpected circumstances occur, and these will be considered with care.

If I need to cancel your appointment, you may choose to reschedule or receive a full refund.

On-demand courses and digital content

For on-demand courses and other digital content:

• Please contact me within 14 days of purchase if you wish to cancel and have not yet accessed or downloaded the course materials.

• Once access to the digital content has begun, change-of-mind refunds are not normally available, subject to your statutory rights.

• The access period for each course will be stated on its sales or checkout page.

• If you experience a technical problem that prevents you from accessing the material, please contact me so that I can help resolve it.

Listening Field Community membership

You may cancel your Community membership at any time through your Kajabi account or by contacting me.

Cancellation stops future renewal payments. You will continue to have access until the end of the billing period for which you have already paid.

Partial refunds are not normally provided for an unused portion of a billing period, except where required by law.

If The Listening Field cancels or reschedules

If The Listening Field cancels an event, course or appointment, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer your payment to a rescheduled date or another suitable offering.

If an event or course is rescheduled and you cannot attend the new date, you may request a full refund.

The Listening Field cannot reimburse travel, accommodation or other expenses booked independently.

Problems with a service or digital course

If an event, service or digital course is not provided as described, is faulty or cannot be accessed, please contact me as soon as possible.

I will work with you to resolve the issue within a reasonable time. Depending on the circumstances and your rights under consumer law, this may include restoring access, repeating or rescheduling the service, a proportionate price reduction or a refund.

Refunds

Where a refund is due under consumer law, it will be issued no later than 14 days after your cancellation request is received.

Approved refunds will normally be returned using the original payment method. The time taken for the funds to appear in your account may depend on your bank or payment provider.

Cancellation form

You do not have to use this form, but you may copy it into an email if helpful.
