Rev. Nóirín Ní Riain
Opening Ceremony and Celtic Blessing
We are honoured to have Nóirín to open this Conference with a celtic ritual to bless our gathering.
Rev. Nóirín Ní Riain PhD
Nóirín Ní Riain, PhD, has had an extraordinary career as Ireland’s Celtic jewel of song and soul. A theologian, musicologist, and recording artist, she has written several books, including her autobiography, Listen with the Ear of the Heart.
Her latest book, Sacred Rituals: An everyday book of prayer was on the best seller list of non-fiction and is now in its second edition. In 2003, she was awarded the first ever doctorate in theology from Mary Immaculate College for her originality in creating a theology of listening, for which she
coined the term theosony – meaning "the sound of God";.
Now in her seventies, Nóirín has recently presented extensively, live and on line on ageing well and its inevitable stage of dying. Her unique approach which embraces the physical, mental and primarily, the spiritual, aspect of the third chapter of life, she will share in depth mingled with joy and fun throughout the day.
An ordained Interfaith minister, alongside celebrating weddings and separation rituals, she offers spiritual mentoring and direction for people worldwide.

Jayne O'Donnell
Sounding our Archetypal Songs
In this workshop, together, we will explore the idea of archetypal songs, and in particular, the rich tapestry of expression that arises when we dare to take away the words.
About Jayne
Based in Westport, Co Mayo, Jayne has been immersed in the realms of the healing arts for over 15 years.
As a voice work facilitator / song writer / performer of song and spoken word and a sound healer and tutor with the College of Sound Healing, Jayne is particularly called to support others in their own exploration of creative expression as a medium for wellbeing, transformation and growth.
Grounded in the wisdom, sound and silence of ancient lineages, Jayne's work ultimately brings us to the joy (and the many colours therein) of what it is to be alive! (www.dourga.com)

We will be working with rhythm, to create a space for everyone to experience the joy of coming together in community and unity, and to express themselves through rhythm no matter their experience. (Bring your drum!)
About Clare Sanders
A native of Devon in the South West of England, Clare has been living and working as a musician and teacher in the West of Ireland for the last 20 years.
Clare’s music is rooted in the classical tradition as a flautist but has expanded over the years to include traditional music, jazz and world music and has been fused together with her work as a healer through sound to support others to express themselves creatively.

Hara Willow
Celtic Medicine Wheel ceremony
I will be incorporating some traditional practices from Celtic and druidic traditions, as well as perhaps some more interfaith aspects from other cultures.
This sound and silenced based ceremony will be rooted in the landscape where we are, and some of the animal spirits of Ireland and Britain in general. The intention of the ceremony is to enhance our capacity for personal transformation - towards an expanded consciousness and deeper connection with the earth (divine feminine), the universe (holy masculine) and alignment with the cosmic flow.
About Hara
Hara is a Shamanic Soundhealer, Transpersonal researcher and practitioner, Tutor for the College of Sound Healing and Interfaith Minister in training.
She specialises in Sacred Ceremony, Sacred Dance and Spiritual Accompaniment. Her work is structured by the Medicine Wheel - honouring seven sacred powers and directions - and utilises sonic spiritual technologies from the world’s wisdom traditions to connect to and embody the Divine, for healing and transformation.
Hara also writes sacred chants, songs, poems and prayers to assist in the rising of the Divine Feminine and the evolution of humanity towards a future of peace, harmony and reverence for life.

Letting Go: Transforming Loss and Grief Through Sound
Join Claire Marie Barton, author of ‘Letting Go’, for an experiential workshop that blends sound, poetry, and personal reflection to navigate the journey of loss and grief.
Join Claire Marie Barton, author of ‘Letting Go’, for an experiential workshop that blends sound, poetry, and personal reflection to navigate the journey of loss and grief. Through sounding and journalling, participants will explore expressing and allowing emotions, before gently releasing and calling in something new.
The session concludes with a deeply restorative sound bath featuring Claire’s voice, gong, Tibetan singing bowls, and other instruments, accompanied by poetry and songs from her book Letting Go. This transformative experience offers a safe space to honour your emotions, let go of what no longer serves, and invite in peace and renewal.

Healing sounds through community toning
Toning Circle
The toning circle begins with a guided session of deep breathing that focuses on bringing the vowel sounds through the chakra system as breath. This leads into a guided series of Bija Mantras where we experience sounding the whole body. The sequence of exercises prepares the group for the first open toning which lasts for up to ten minutes. The toning opens the group up to the subtlety of deep listening while sounding. This space of deep listening prepares the group to engage with the potential of healing offered during the second phase of the toning circle which is a time of deep rest. I play the Tibetan bowls and use vocal harmonics with shruti box accompaniment. The final part of the evening involves another open toning which allows the group to assimilate all of the sounds and silences of the toning circle.
Pat Mc Inerney
I first experienced vocal toning in 2012 when I attended the World Sound Healing Conference in Colorado, USA facilitated by Jonathan Goldman. I have worked for many years with Vickie Dodd who is a pioneer in the field of sound healing with over 50 years of experience using sound as a healing modality. Vickie encouraged me to start the toning circle in 2015 and it has been running since. I have also worked with David Hykes in France and gained a lot of knowledge on vocal harmonics and the subtlety of listening and sounding.

I thought the structure of the weekend was really well balanced.
The facilitation was without any sense of separateness, them and us which I loved.
You seemed to work as an integrated energy skillfully and compassionately.
I loved the early morning ,sleepy movement and kirtan sessions, drumming, time to chat, the food, the physical space, the evening concert the Toning, loved it all really.
I especially loved the ritual welcome on the first evening. It felt so lovely, sensitive, kind and inviting.
Isabella
Thanks again for this amazing weekend.
I am looking forward to the next conference.
Helena
I would like to express my deepest gratitude for this Sound Healing Conference.
This work to support & guide people with an “ alternative modality’s “ which I as a nurse was not aware of is so enlightening and empowering.
As I said, I am tone deaf but I learnt from the facilitators and it did not stop me being included in the work.
The efficient way the team organised the whole event & schedule created a safe and effective workshop in which I felt each and every one of us learnt from sharing with sound.
This has opened up an awareness in me that I didn’t know I didn’t know until until now. Thank you for making this possible.
Claire
