Sound Healing Conference 2026
Listening to the Land
Inspired by the late Manchan Magan and his vision of Listening to the Land Speak, our gathering brings together a community of sound-healers and kindred spirits. This conference invites us to deepen our connection with ourselves, with one another, and with the living world around us — the land, the elements, and the more-than-human environment.
Through sound as our shared language and healing medium, we will explore our relationships with earth, air, fire, and water — listening, feeling, and responding to the song of nature that moves through all things.
The College of Sound Healing, which has just celebrated it's 20th anniversary, has been training practitioners and tutors here in Ireland for over 10 years. We now have over 50 practitioners Ireland as well several tutors.
In association with the College, we are now delighted to bring us together in this Celebration of Sound - to support, nourish and deepen the field of sound healing in Ireland.

Reconnecting through the sounds of the Irish language
Reconnecting through the sounds of the Irish language
We will explore the living spirit of the Irish language - it's sounds, rhythms and meanings - as a pathway to connect more deeply with ourselves and with the wisdom of our ancestors. Using simple Irish words and phrases (as well as English and other languages) we will listen, speak, sound and sing to feel how language carries memory, emotion, and belonging and allows us freedom to explore all that it has to offer. We will weave sounds and words to acknowledge our moving though the season of Bealtaine.
About Lorraine
Lorraine has had a "grá" (love) for singing and for the Irish language for as long as she can remember. With over thirty years experience in education, from primary school classrooms to colleges and universities, she has always enjoyed inspiring a love of the Irish language, as well as learning from the language and through the language.
Lorraine believes that within the words of our language lies the echoes of our ancestors - their deep connections to the land, the natural cycles of nature and the sacred sites that still shape our landscape today.
Through exploring the sounds, structures and etymology of the Irish language, Lorraine invites students and communities to rediscover the ancient wisdom woven into the language, wisdom that links language, nature and spirit. She also invites participants to consider and explore their own experience, connection and relationship to the language.

Healing sounds through community toning
Toning CircleÂ
The toning circle begins with a guided session of deep breathing that focuses on bringing the vowel sounds through the chakra system as breath. This leads into a guided series of Bija Mantras where we experience sounding the whole body. The sequence of exercises prepares the group for the first open toning which lasts for up to ten minutes. The toning opens the group up to the subtlety of deep listening while sounding. This space of deep listening prepares the group to engage with the potential of healing offered during the second phase of the toning circle which is a time of deep rest. I play the Tibetan bowls and use vocal harmonics with shruti box accompaniment. The final part of the evening involves another open toning which allows the group to assimilate all of the sounds and silences of the toning circle.
Pat Mc Inerney
I first experienced vocal toning in 2012 when I attended the World Sound Healing Conference in Colorado, USA facilitated by Jonathan Goldman. I have worked for many years with Vickie Dodd who is a pioneer in the field of sound healing with over 50 years of experience using sound as a healing modality. Vickie encouraged me to start the toning circle in 2015 and it has been running since. I have also worked with David Hykes in France and gained a lot of knowledge on vocal harmonics and the subtlety of listening and sounding.

Conference - 2025
Liz
I thought the structure of the weekend was really well balanced.
The facilitation was without any sense of separateness, them and us which I loved.
You seemed to work as an integrated energy skillfully and compassionately.Â
I loved the early morning ,sleepy movement and kirtan sessions, drumming, time to chat, the food, the physical space, the evening concert the Toning, loved it all really.
I especially loved the ritual welcome on the first evening. It felt so lovely, sensitive, kind and inviting.
Isabella
Thanks again for this amazing weekend.Â
I am looking forward to the next conference.Â
Helena
I would like to express my deepest gratitude for this Sound Healing Conference.
This work to support & guide people with an “ alternative modality’s “ which I as a nurse was not aware of is so enlightening and empowering.
As I said, I am tone deaf but I learnt from the facilitators and it did not stop me being included in the work.
The efficient way the team organised the whole event & schedule created a safe and effective workshop in which I felt each and every one of us learnt from sharing with sound.
This has opened up an awareness in me that I didn’t know I didn’t know until until now. Thank you for making this possible.
